I know I sound like a broken record but! The fishing continues on an outstanding level not seen in the pass 3 years. While Capt. Brandon and I were in Mexico Capts’ Ted, Pete, Mitch and Dwain have carried on with daily catches of 25’ plus trout.

Poppy continues his catch 2000 pattern with Mitch using his Chartreuse headed black she dogs.  One day while we were gone Poppy had an 8 fish day over 25”. The largest was 29 weighing 8 ½. Neat thing when he got her a boga she had a 10” trout sticking out of her mouth. Dwain’s brother caught his personal best 28 plus 8 # 6 oz.

Our pattern continues 2 to 3 ½ foot sand and gravel potholes in grass beds.  They are just getting ready to spawn, look for some real heavy weighs to show up!

We will do a more complete report as time allows. Also Capt. Brandon will be posting a report about our trip south. I can assure you, he will not be detailing the location until after we make a more comprehensive trip down. How would you like to fish a bay 18 miles long by 8 miles wide with access to the Gulf and no REAL PRESSURE! We will fill you in soon.

We have very little space available the next few weeks but if interested, we will find a way to accommodate your needs, whether here or somewhere else.
Remember what our fishing was like two years ago!!!!!!! Let the big ones go and keep the small ones and JUST WHAT YOU CAN EAT! It’s only going to get better.

To add a tickler and a greater service for our bird hunters, we have teamed up with Jimmy Juhl and the Hacienda San Juan in Soto La Marina, Tam.  Mentioning the area as the white wing capital of the world will be an understatement.  Check out our report here to see about our trip.  We will be putting together two white wing hunts and a possible turkey/Chachalaca hunt this upcoming season.  Call 956.944.4000 for more information.  We are looking for 25 to 30 hunters per trip.  Cast and Blast packages are available as well.   Read the report!
