Getaway Adventures Lodge's world class bay fishing will find you targeting the big three: trout, redfish, and flounder. And, if you have a flare for the more exotic, you may target tarpon and snook during their respective seasons.

Getaway Adventures Lodge provides some of the best sight casting and wade fishing in the world. Most wading in the lower Laguna Madre occurs in water ranging from six inches to four feet deep. So, if water depth is a big concern, remember the lodge saying, "If you fall out, don't panic - just stand up!"

The Getaway Adventures Guide Staff predominately uses artificial lures for bay fishing. However, if your party wants to use bait, we can arrange a bait trip for your party using shrimp, or cut mullet. Sorry, we do not allow the use of croaker through our facilities. In addition, Getaway Adventures Lodge will provide all tackle and lures upon request.

Although the best method of stalking the big three is wading, we can accommodate those anglers wanting to drift from the boat. If your party wants to drift, please notify us at booking so we can pair your party with the best guide for your fishing preferences.
