We were blessed by the tides to have had a man like Dan wade our waters. Although the cancer made Dan cantankerous at times, his quick bear hugs, smiles, and kind words were always welcomed and quick to be delivered. Dan made the long summer weeks on the water guiding bearable with a quick tension breaker or delivering a ride back to the boat after a long power wade. Dan was, and will always be for the Shuler clan, a Texas saltwater institution. Our thoughts are with his beautiful wife, Joyce, and the entire Coley family.
