Snapper are often caught within sight of the beach and Blackfin Tuna,

Welcome
to the Getaway Adventures Lodge website. Located in Port Mansfield, Texas on
Texas' world renowned lower Laguna Madre, Getaway Adventures Lodge and
Port Mansfield were ranked one of the 'Top Ten Hottest Fishing
Destinations' by Field & Stream Magazine. 
Port Mansfield on the
lower Laguna Madre, one of only three navigable hyper-saline lagoons in
the northern hemisphere, is a sight fisherman's dream come true. With two
feet, and ether clear waters, fly-fisherman and light tackle aficionados
flock to her unique sights and fisheries for a distinctly south Texas
fishing experience. Her hyper-salinity has bred a unique estuary boasting
some of the largest Speckled Sea Trout in the world -- not to mention a
world class Red Drum and Tarpon Fishery.
